Angie, thank you so much for all your help and amazing dedication to the work you do.

Having been there yourself you completely understand how it feels to lose your hair, eyebrows and lashes and how important it is to keep a positive attitude and focus on getting better and dealing with all the side effects of what can be a very traumatic time.

You really did help me through those early days not only giving me confidence to face the world and to keep smiling but you was also determined to make sure that I felt amazing on my special day. You exceeded all my expectations and I really cannot thank you enough for giving me my special day. It means the world to me, to be able to look back at our photos with only happy memories.
Thank you So much
Toni xx

Dear Angie

Can I just say thank you so very much for all the attention and care you have given me about supplying me with a wig after my chemo. You have all been very sensitive about my feelings and have taken me into the back of your shop, which to my surprise has so many wigs and bandannas to try on. You made trying the wigs on an easy experience as I was dreading it. It is very upsetting to lose your hair and you have all under stood that. For me it was a visible sign that I had had cancer treatment and I didn’t want pitying glances. Now with my wig, I feel absolutely great!

You have adjusted the wig and trimmed it to suit me and also given me advice and support to my new hair growth. You’ve all gone a long way beyond your customer care.

I look forwards to seeing you all again soon for my colour
Best wishes Valery Chapman (Chemotherapy Client)

Dear Angie I just wanted to write and say how grateful and pleased I am.

Since I first came to see you I was so worried about the situation and you have been absolutely brilliant, from day one you did everything you could, you ordered the hairpiece and worked on it for hours.

You have made everything easy for me I can’t thank you enough, I feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I know you will be so successful and make a lot of people as happy and relieved as you have made me.
Also on a personal level you can understand how people feel about hair loss which gives people even more confidence in you. Thanks again Angie
Love Mick

Dear Angie many thanks for the way you dealt with my wife’s loss of hair.

We came with no appointment but was received by your staff and helped in a very efficient way, then you yourself dealt with my wife after business hours to provide and stile a hair peace for her heartfelt thanks to you and your staff
Yours sincerely Mr P Rawson
p.s. her hair is growing again.

I am so pleased I came across Angela at the Positive Image Clinic.

I’ve always hated shopping for wigs. I used to feel uncomfortable and embarrassed as they never fitted correctly, Irritated and it always looked like a wig, but after my first visit to Angela I felt totally different, she gave me some really good advice and made me feel more confident about wearing a wig. I learnt more about wigs – things like how to adjust and care for them in an hour with Angela than in the Twenty two years I’d had alopecia.

Everyone was really friendly to me even a client waiting to see Angela gave me her appointment because I had travelled to get there, and there was no appointments left for that day. It was also really great talking to someone that understood what hair or lack of it should I say means to me and how I felt about it.
I will definitely go back to Angela any time I need new hair or advice.
Thank you Angel, Marie Leech (Alopecia Client)

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all you have done are still doing for me.

When I first came to you nervous and worried you reassured me and have supported me to great lengths you have helped restore my confidence also listening to all my problems and worries helping in any way you can I am so glad I came to see you, you’ve been such a tower of strength and nothing seems too much. So thanks for all you have done it’s so nice to meet someone so genuine especially as you’ve been through so much yourself and yet have so much time to help.
Sara Rhys Jones (Alopecia Areata Client)

Thank you Angie

I had chemotherapy in 1995, which resulted in total hair loss. As I was fairly young (27) losing my hair was fairly traumatic, but combating the cancer was more important. I was in hospital in Sheffield and a lovely lady from the NHS wig department came to see me one day. The wig I was furnished with didn’t fit and it was itchy, but worse of all it was horrendous and (I thought) very old fashioned was 27 and this wig would of suited a 60 year old, it was frumpy and wearing the wig was actually worse than losing the hair. I wore the wig a grand total time of 30 minutes before I flung it to the back of the wardrobe and instead, wore bandanas for the remaining time that I was completely bald.

My hair did eventually grow back, but not in the same way it had been previously. Not for me masses of titan curls or flowing locks, rather a sparse offering that was very fine and baby like. Over the past few years trying a range of pills, potions and lotions to try and encourage the hair growth, but alas to no avail. I thought that I had to put up with it and “make the best of a bad job”. That was until, however, I came across Angie at Positive Image Clinic remembering my experience of the NHS wig episode, I was more than a little apprehensive that I would end up spending money on something that didn’t suit or that I would end up empty handed. I didn’t count on Angie and Kirsty.

Angie was professional to the last whilst still remaining caring and absolutely understanding of how it felt to not have any hair. A woman often achieves her femininity and not to have any results in that femininity diminishing; Angie understood this and empathetic rather than sympathetic. Allowing me to try on a variety of wigs, long and short and of different colours and completely honest when one didn’t suit. I never felt rushed into making any choice and had plenty of time to make my choice.

I now have many wigs. I have always considered myself to be pretty confident, but I really was kidding myself by hiding my true feelings behind a joke. Wearing my wig has increased my confidence and when someone looks at me I don’t fear that they are looking at a woman with little hair, but rather they are just looking. Angie and Kirsty have made the whole wig experience so much better second time round. I would recommend anyone that is going through chemotherapy or if they have just lost their hair to make an appointment with Angie or Kirsty sooner rather than later. It really could turn your life around for the better and make the whole trauma of cancer just a little bit easier. I am now a regular visitor of the Positive Image Clinic and my new wig fitter is Kirsty, who I have to say is fabulous! Every bit as professional as Angie, thank you girls.

To Angie and girls thank you so much for all your help and expertise in finding me a wig I am happy with.

I never thought it would be possible but I am really pleased with the results and it has helped with my confidence enormously. It is so lovely to meet kind, friendly people and I can’t thank you enough.

To Angie and staff, just a few lines to thank you all for your time, patience and excellent service in supply mum with her wig

It made so much difference to her life and gave her the confidence to carry on going out and enjoying the social life, which she otherwise wouldn’t have done. Know one would have ever guessed it was a wig, unless she chose to tell them, although one or two said, “Oh you’ve had your hair done, it does look nice”. Sadly, mum passed away (with her wig on) but before she did we had discussed sending you this message to say thanks for all you have done for her, so I am doing this on her behalf. Keep up the good work, it really makes a difference to people’s lives.

Kindest regards,
Julie Kirk (Margery Roberts’s daughter)

Since from the age off 11yrs after a car accident, I developed alopecia and had to wear a wig.

School etc, treated me cruelly as it wasnt the brilliantest one…. Oh why wasnt their a postive image clinic around for me then? Angie and her girls are amazing, their professionalism is second to none. At the clinic,
how nice it is to be made feel normal and treated as a person with sensitivety, discretion and most of all with a warm smile to put you at ease. Always when I step out the doors i feel a million dollars and all thanks to Angie and her team. Once again a huge thank you xxxx

Just want to give you a big thank you for all you have done for me

I will never forget that day when i came to you after i had been diagnosed with breast cancer and was due to start chemotherepy, i came to you as i had decided to have my hair cut very short before i started my treatment, i had long hair for all my life it was a very big thing to do, you listened and understood as you knew what i was going through, i cried my tears then picked my self up again.

Yourself and your staff were excellent and very professional, you gave me my privacy and your words of experience were very comforting. I could go on and on but i value you as a true friend and if i can help you in anyway you have just got to ask.
